This week, Arivihan, an AI-powered learning platform based in Indore, India, announced that it had raised $10 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Accel and Prosus Ventures. According to Inc42 and YourStory, angel investors associated with GSF added about $200,000, and the company has now raised more than $15 million in total.
What happened
Arivihan was founded in 2022 by Ritesh Singh Chandel, Sonu Kumar and Rushabh Kothari. The company offers what it describes as fully automated AI tutoring. According to Inc42, the platform combines interactive video lectures, instant answers to students' questions and personalized study plans, without relying on human teachers.
The company focuses mainly on Class 12 students, the final year of high school in India, who are preparing for State Board exams, CBSE exams and NEET, the national medical entrance exam. According to Business Standard and YourStory, about 80% of its subscribers come from Tier 3 cities and rural India, areas that often have fewer coaching options than large cities.
Arivihan says it will use the new money to expand into new states, grow its CBSE offerings, improve its AI and vernacular, or local-language, capabilities, and invest in marketing and on-the-ground distribution. Business Standard reported that the company plans to deepen its presence in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar.
CEO Ritesh Singh Chandel said the company is "making AI deliver real results for real Bharat students," according to Business Standard.
"AI has finally made it possible to deliver truly personalised online education that can match the effectiveness of bespoke and expensive in-person coaching," said Accel's Anagh Prasad, according to Inc42.
Why it matters
The education technology market has had a difficult few years. According to YourStory, edtech funding in India fell from $4.3 billion in 2021 to $214 million in the first eight months of 2026. Against that backdrop, a $10 million round led by two major investors stands out.
What investors appear to be backing is a specific model: AI doing the work that used to require large teams of human tutors. That lowers the cost of each student, which makes it possible to serve families that could not afford traditional coaching. Serving students in their own languages widens that reach even further.
It is also a good example of a focused product. Arivihan did not try to teach everyone everything. It picked a clear audience, a clear goal and a clear set of exams, then built around them.
What this means for founders and builders
For anyone interested in education technology, Arivihan's raise offers a useful playbook:
- Pick a specific learner and a specific goal. A defined audience makes a product easier to build, market and improve.
- Use AI to lower the cost of personal attention. One-on-one help is what students value most, and AI can make it affordable.
- Meet learners where they are. Language, device and price all matter, especially outside major cities.
There is also a lesson about pricing. Families outside major cities are often very price-sensitive, so a learning product aimed at them has to keep its own costs low. AI tutoring makes that possible because the cost of answering one more student question is small. For builders, that means an education product can serve many more learners at a price they can afford, while still running as a healthy business.
Education is a category KIING DIGITAL LABS knows well. The bottom line
Arivihan's $10 million Series A shows that investors are still willing to back education technology when AI makes learning more personal, more affordable and more accessible. Focused products that serve a clearly defined group of learners are leading the way.
