Buying a finished AI product skips months of design, development and testing. It only pays off if you know exactly what you are getting. Here is what to check before you make an offer — on our products or anyone else's.
Codebase or business? Know which you are buying
A business comes with customers and revenue. A pre-built product comes with working software, design and infrastructure, ready for you to launch and grow. Both are valid. They are priced differently, and a seller should be clear about which one you are getting.
Every product we list states its revenue and users plainly. If it has none yet, we say so.
Use the live demo, not just screenshots
A real product should run in a browser today. Sign up, use the main features, and trigger the AI parts yourself. Each of our products has a live demo of the actual app.
Ask to see the code and the tech stack
Buyers commonly flag an undisclosed tech stack, or a seller who won't do a screen share, as red flags. Ask what the frontend, database, sign-in, payments and AI run on, and ask for a walkthrough of the code before you commit. Our product pages list the technology, and we'll walk you through the code on a call.
Check exactly what transfers
Get a written list. A complete handoff usually includes:
- Full source code and database design
- Sign-in, payment and AI connections
- Brand assets, domain (if included) and design files
- Documentation and a technical handoff session
Plan for what happens after you buy
You will need hosting, AI usage costs and someone to make changes. Ask whether the seller offers support or custom work after the sale. We offer both — see custom builds.
