Bluesky's Attie Now Lets Anyone Build Websites and Games With AI
Bluesky expanded its experimental AI app Attie so users can build websites, games, quizzes and polls from a prompt and share them with their community.

On Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, Bluesky announced at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 that its experimental AI app, Attie, can now build websites, games, quizzes, polls and other interactive projects from a simple description. Bluesky CEO Toni Schneider calls the idea "social vibe coding," and it is one more sign that building software is no longer only a job for developers.
What happened
Attie first launched in March 2026 as an AI tool that helped people create custom feeds on Bluesky, the decentralized social network. With this update, Bluesky turned Attie into a small app builder. According to TechCrunch, users describe what they want, and Attie generates it, from a quiz for followers to a simple game or a community poll.
The Verge described the results as "small" social apps, such as games, polls and dashboards, that can be shared as their own websites. A reporter there built a simple poll that took a few minutes to generate.
Each project is tied to the creator's identity on the AT Protocol, the open technology Bluesky runs on, and lives on that network. Attie can also suggest project ideas based on a user's public Bluesky profile. According to TechCrunch, users can bring their own AI model or use open-weight models.
Bluesky did not announce pricing or a wider rollout schedule. Schneider told TechCrunch that support for private data, which he called developers' biggest request, is in alpha testing and is planned to roll out by the end of the year.
Why it matters
Most "vibe coding" tools, where you describe software in plain English and AI writes it, are built for one person working alone. Schneider wants something different. "Vibe coding today is kind of a single-user, solo experience," he told TechCrunch, adding that he wants people to be able to "build together or build for a group of people."
The other difference is distribution. A new website or app usually starts with zero visitors. Attie projects are created inside a social network, so they can reach an audience right away. As Bluesky COO Rose Wang put it to TechCrunch, "it comes with the Bluesky distribution, so it doesn't stand alone."
The move also has a business side. According to TechCrunch, Bluesky has about 47 million registered users, but engagement has declined as some people returned to X. Giving creators new things to make and share is one way to keep them active.
What this means for founders and builders
Attie is part of a much bigger shift: anyone can now create a simple website, game or tool in minutes. That is exciting, but it also changes where the real value sits.
When a quick quiz or poll costs almost nothing to make, simple projects stop being a business on their own. The value moves to products that are complete and dependable: they handle accounts and payments, store data safely, work every time and solve a real problem for paying customers. A prompt can give you a fun demo. Turning an idea into a product people will pay for still takes careful planning, design and engineering.
That is where KIING DIGITAL LABS comes in. If you have an idea that is bigger than a quick experiment, a custom build turns it into a finished, production-ready product that you own. If you want to skip the build entirely, explore complete software products ready to acquire, already built and ready for customers.
There is also a lesson in Bluesky's thinking about distribution. A product with a built-in audience has a huge head start. Before you build, ask yourself where your first users will come from: a community, a partner's platform or an audience you already have. Planning distribution early matters as much as the product itself.
Finally, AI builders like Attie are great for testing ideas. Use them, or our free concept tool below, to shape an idea and see what resonates before you invest in a full product.
The bottom line
Bluesky's Attie update shows how fast AI is making software creation feel like posting content: describe it, generate it, share it. For everyday users, that means more fun and more creativity. For founders, it raises the bar. Quick demos are now easy, so the winners will be the people who turn ideas into complete, reliable products with a clear path to customers.
