Inside HostGhost: A Marketplace for Artists and Ghostwriters
How HostGhost connects performing artists with ghostwriters — Host and Ghost roles, genre matching and up-front split agreements.
KIING DIGITAL LABS · · 1 min read

HostGhost is a marketplace platform built by KIING DIGITAL LABS for a specific creative relationship: the artist who performs, and the writer behind the words. It is complete, live, and available for acquisition.
The concept
Ghostwriting in music is common and mostly informal. Finding the right writer is word-of-mouth, and the conversation about credit and money often comes last. HostGhost brings both sides into one place and puts the split first.
Hosts and Ghosts
- Hosts are performing artists. Their profile shows their look, life and voice so writers know who they would be writing for.
- Ghosts are writers. They upload short samples and can stay faceless — the work speaks for them.
How matching works
Members are matched by the genre they work in, so writers and artists meet inside the same creative lane. Each member states the revenue percentage they are willing to give or accept, and matching accounts for it up front. When a match lines up, the platform sends an in-app alert.
The platform is designed around the working relationship — profiles, negotiation of terms, agreements and one-time performance gigs.
