ElevenLabs Doubles Its Valuation to $22 Billion in Employee Share Sale

On Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, AI voice company ElevenLabs said it had completed a $300 million tender offer for employees at a valuation of $22 billion. That is double the $11 billion valuation the company reached in its Series D round in February, according to ElevenLabs and Reuters.
What happened
A tender offer is a deal where investors buy existing shares from a company's employees and early shareholders. It does not add new money to the company itself. Instead, it lets staff turn some of their stock into cash without waiting for an IPO or a sale. It also sets a new price tag for the business.
According to the ElevenLabs announcement, the tender was led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price. Several investors joined for the first time, including EQT, Goldman Sachs, GIC, OTPP, Sapphire Ventures and BDT & MSD. Existing backers such as Andreessen Horowitz and Lightspeed also took part, according to the company and Reuters.
ElevenLabs shared several growth numbers alongside the news:
- Enterprise customers now make up 55% of revenue
- Its voice agents handle more than 15 million conversations each week, about three times the level in February
- Annual recurring revenue has also roughly tripled since February
- The company has more than 800 employees
ElevenLabs was founded in 2022 and is based in London. Co-founder and CEO Mati Staniszewski said, according to Reuters, "We're already seeing rapid adoption of expressive voice agents by enterprises and governments, who are deploying them in service of consumers and citizens."
Reuters notes that those agents are used for tasks like processing refunds, renewing insurance policies and booking appointments.
Why it matters
A doubling in value in about seven months is unusual, even in today's AI market. It tells us that big, careful investors such as Wellington, T. Rowe Price and Goldman Sachs believe voice AI is turning into a real business, not just a cool demo.
The key number is the 55% enterprise share. Consumer apps can grow quickly, but large companies tend to sign bigger and longer contracts. When a startup's revenue shifts toward enterprises, its income usually becomes more stable and predictable, and investors reward that.
The 15 million weekly conversations figure matters too. Voice agents are now answering phones and handling customer service at real scale. That changes how businesses think about support, sales and scheduling. A voice agent can answer at any hour, handle many calls at once and switch languages, which makes it attractive to companies that struggle to staff phone lines.
What this means for founders and builders
Voice is becoming a standard feature. Not long ago, adding natural-sounding voice to an app was expensive and hard. Today, companies like ElevenLabs offer it as a service that any developer can plug in. If your product involves customer calls, booking or support, a voice option is worth considering.
Customer service is a huge opening. Every small business that answers the phone is a potential customer for voice tools. That includes salons, clinics, repair shops, property managers and churches. Products that serve one of these groups with a simple, ready-to-use voice agent could find eager buyers.
Ownership pays off. The ElevenLabs tender is a reminder of what owning equity in a growing software business can be worth. Owning a product, rather than just using one, is how founders capture that value.

The bottom line
ElevenLabs is now valued at $22 billion after a $300 million employee share sale, double its February price. The deal shows strong investor belief in voice AI, driven by enterprise demand and millions of weekly agent conversations. For founders, the message is that voice is moving from a novelty to a must-have feature, and there is plenty of room for focused products built on top of it.
